Ford & Harrison Elects Four New Partners

Ford & Harrison announces the election of four new partners. Todd S. Aidman in the firm’s Tampa office, Ellen C. Ham in the firm’s Miami office, Jeffrey A. Lehrer in the firm’s Spartanburg office and Kevin M. Williams in the firm’s Washington, DC office were named partners to the firm effective February 1, 2007.

ATLANTA – Ford & Harrison, a national labor and employment law firm, announces the election of four new partners. Todd S. Aidman in the firm’s Tampa office, Ellen C. Ham in the firm’s Miami office, Jeffrey A. Lehrer in the firm’s Spartanburg office and Kevin M. Williams in the firm’s Washington, DC office were named partners to the firm effective February 1, 2007.

Todd Aidman concentrates his practice on employment litigation, including harassment and discrimination cases. He also works with clients in the hospitality industry on compliance with Title III of the ADA, the FLSA and FMLA. Mr. Aidman provides management-level individuals with training on litigation avoidance. He was a two-term chair of the Labor and Employment Section of the Hillsborough County Bar, and sits on the Board for the Boys and Girls Clubs. He earned his J.D. and M.B.A. degrees from Stetson University College of Law (1999) and his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida (B.S., 1996).

Ellen Ham represents management in traditional labor matters with a focus on grievance resolution, including mediation and arbitrations; representation matters before the National Mediation Board; and collective bargaining for air carriers under the Railway Labor Act. She regularly counsels the firm's airline clients and airline related companies on a wide range of workplace issues and conducts management training on various labor and employment-related topics. Ms. Ham practices in Ford & Harrison’s Miami, FL and Atlanta, GA offices. She earned her law degree from the University of Florida School of Law (J.D., with honors, 1998) and her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida (B.A., with honors, 1988).

Jeffrey Lehrer focuses his practice on all areas of labor and employment law, assisting and representing employers in discrimination, harassment, contract, non-compete, trade secrets and employee leave issues. While he primarily defends employers in these matters, he has experience initiating lawsuits on behalf of employers to enforce non-compete agreements and to protect against and recover for misappropriations of trade secrets. Mr. Lehrer earned his degrees from the University of South Carolina School of Law (J.D., 1999) and the University of South Carolina (B.S., cum laude, 1996).

Kevin Williams focuses his practice on labor and transportation law. He manages various cases in federal courts and in arbitration, including discovery, motions, brief writing and litigation. He frequently speaks before trade and legal associations on various transportation regulatory issues, including the federal hours of service rules changes, the federal OSHA reform, federal cargo liability rules and federal multi-employer pension law. Earlier in his career Mr. Williams served as General Counsel and then President of Distribution & LTL Carriers Association, a national trade association. He also served as the General Counsel for the Regular Common Carrier Conference of the American Trucking Association. He earned his degrees from Georgetown University Law Center (J.D., with honors, 1980) and Georgetown University (B.A., with distinction, 1977).
