"E-Verify Requirements for Federal Contractors: Meeting New Challenges" Free E-Briefing

Date   Sep 22, 2009
Time   12:00 p.m. EST - 1:30 p.m. EST

On September 8, 2009 the federal contractor E-Verify rule went into effect notwithstanding four prior delays to its implementation and a federal lawsuit challenging the rule's validity. This means that non-exempt federal contractors and subcontractors are now required to use the online E-Verify system to verify that their employees are legally authorized to work in the United States. Who is impacted? What is required?

Ford & Harrison is pleased to offer this informative and practical webinar to discuss the urgent issues and requirements arising under the new federal contractor E-Verify rule. This free webinar will include discussion of:

  • Specific new employment verification obligations for qualifying federal contractors and subcontractors
  • What types of federal contracts and subcontracts are affected or exempted
  • Who must be verified through the E-Verify system
  • Timeframe for implementing E-Verify and initiating queries in the system
  • How the E-Verify system works and a step-by-step procedure for using it

Approval for 1.5 hours of HRCI recertification credits for PHR and SPHR is pending for this webinar.

This program is now full.  Please register for the repeat program taking place on September 29 listed on this website.
