About the Program

"Protecting Your Company's Assets from Employee Misuse" – How safe is your company information? With the advent of the age of technology, access and information, protecting your company's confidential, proprietary and sensitive information from use and disclosure is more and more difficult than it was just a few years ago. This session will focus on the different avenues employees can travel to use your company's information in competition and what steps can be taken to prevent and respond to potential leaks. This session will also give attendees the opportunity to ask questions directly to Judge Nielsen who handles most of the complex business litigation claims in the Hillsborough County Circuit Court.

Presenters: Ford & Harrison Tampa partner Bill Grob and Judge Richard Nielsen, Complex Business Litigation Division for 13th Judicial Circuit

"Effectively Using Social Media in the Workplace" – Social media in the workplace carries risks but many benefits as well. In this session, we will explore what social media is and who uses it. We will discuss whether your company should use it and how you can implement it to leverage your relationships with both your external audience (clients, customers and the public) and your internal audience (employees). In addition, we will help you with developing a social media plan. Finally, we will focus on the importance of developing effective policies and procedures which will assist you in regulating employee use.

Presenters: Ford & Harrison Tampa partners Tammie Rattray and Dawn Siler-Nixon
