Date   Jul 11, 2012
FordHarrison LLP, a national labor and employment law firm, announces the addition of Stefan H. Black as an associate in the firm's Los Angeles office. Prior to joining FordHarrison, Stefan was an associate at a large general practice firm based in Virginia.

Stefan focuses his practice on representing management in labor and employment law disputes.  He has defended clients in a variety of matters including claims for unpaid overtime, Title VII race discrimination claims, ERISA claims, breach of contract disputes and suits to enforce covenants not to compete.

A significant portion of Stefan's practice is devoted to counseling employers regarding all aspects of the employment relationship, including effectuating terminations, wage and hour inquiries, the ADA, the FMLA and COBRA.  He has also assisted employers with the drafting of employment agreements, severance agreements, covenants not to compete, employee handbooks and policies and ADA medical questionnaires.  Stefan received his J.D. from George Mason University School of Law in 2007.

"We are very pleased to welcome Stefan to the firm," said Lyne Richardson, managing partner of FordHarrison's Los Angeles office. "Adding associates like Stefan strengthens our efforts to deliver the highest level of quality client service."
