Allyn Jaqua Lowell is Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
Allyn has focused her practice on the representation of management in employment litigation for ten years. Allyn defends employers in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies in discrimination, harassment, retaliation and other employment actions arising under Title VII, the FMLA, the FLSA, the RLA, the NLRA, the ADA, the ADEA, the Equal Pay Act, ERISA, the Texas Health and Safety Code, and the Texas Labor Code. Allyn also represents employers in litigation related to employment contracts and restrictive covenant agreements.
In addition to her national litigation practice, Allyn counsels employers on a variety of employment issues, including employee terminations, drafting and negotiating employment and separation agreements, and compliance with federal and state labor and employment law. She also drafts and reviews employee handbooks and policies, and has conducted workplace training sessions on sexual harassment prevention and LGBT law, policies and best practices. Allyn has represented clients in a wide variety of industries, including retail, health care, telecommunications, airline, and food and beverage.
Allyn serves as Editor of the "Contracts and Noncompete Agreements" chapter of the FordHarrison SourceBook and also serves at Editor for the Texas Chapter for 50 Employment Laws in 50 States, published by HR Hero. During law school, Allyn was awarded the CALI Award for Excellence in both Employment Law and Alternative Dispute Resolution for Labor Law.
