Kathleen Talty represents employers in labor and employment matters before federal and state courts and administrative agencies.

Her practice ranges from issues arising under the National Labor Relations Act to discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, and immigration matters.  Kathleen provides legal guidance on the many issues that arise in the employer-employee relationship, including discipline, leave requests, employee terminations, and litigation defense.  She has conducted training sessions for managers and supervisors on EEO issues.

Representative Experience
  • Obtained dismissal of a race discrimination claim under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act against a healthcare employer in federal court in Maryland following a motion for summary judgment.
  • Obtained dismissal of a wrongful discharge claim against an employer in Baltimore City Circuit Court following a motion for summary judgment.
  • Obtained dismissal of defamation and invasion of privacy claims against an employer in Baltimore City Circuit Court following a motion for summary judgment
  • Obtained for employers numerous non-immigrant business (H-1B) visas
