Katie O'Shea concentrates her practice on representing management in claims involving harassment and discrimination in the workplace, retaliation, and violations of federal and state employment law statutes.
Prior to joining FordHarrison, Katie was an extern with Judge Steve C. Jones in the Northern District of Georgia. In this role, she conducted legal research, prepared memoranda, and wrote draft opinions. She has also worked for three state court judges in Athens and Atlanta, as well as the Gwinnett County Law Department. In her role at the Gwinnett County Law Department, she was responsible for drafting Motions for Summary Judgment and county ordinances, as well as conducting legal research.
During law school, Katie served as a Notes Editor of the Georgia Law Review, President of the Dean's Ambassadors, secretary of the Women Law Students Association, and co-founder and treasurer of the Law Literary Society.
Katie was a national finalist in the GRAMMY Foundation Entertainment Law Initiative legal writing competition. She presented her research on digital music theft to 500 attorneys from across the country at the GRAMMY Foundation Entertainment Law Initiative Luncheon in Los Angeles and attended the 2013 GRAMMY Awards. She is a regular contributor to the current FordHarrison Blog, EntertainHR, an informative look across the landscape of television, movies, sports and celebrity culture from an employment-law perspective.
