Katie Parham

Senior Associate / Memphis

Katie Parham concentrates her practice on representing management in employment matters before administrative agencies and in employment litigation in both state and federal court. 

Katie has represented companies in a variety of industries, including healthcare, manufacturing, retail, and education, with a focus on discrimination, harassment and retaliation claims under Title VII, the ADA, the ADEA, and the FMLA, as well as state law whistleblower and discrimination claims. 

In addition, Katie presents management training programs and counsels employers on best practices for avoiding litigation and on a range of human resources issues, including employment policies, handbooks, and agreements.  Katie also has a particular interest in advising clients on internet and social media issues.

Representative Experience

  • Obtained summary judgment in an arbitration before the AAA on Rehabilitation Act, ADA, ERISA, FMLA and state emotional distress claims, and successfully argued that the employer was not joint or integrated employer.   
  • Obtained summary judgment in a federal case alleging Title VII race and gender discrimination, Title VII retaliation, ADEA age discrimination, and ADA disability discrimination.
