Milton Lewis advising clients in all manner of employment related issues for over 30 years, with a specific focus on labor relations under the National Labor Relations Act.
Milton has negotiated more than 100 union contracts with national and international unions on behalf of corporations and educational institutions throughout the United States. He has represented numerous clients on matters of due diligence, layoffs, plant closings, WARN Act and effects bargaining.
Prior to joining FordHarrison, Milton practiced labor law with a firm located in the Midwest. In addition, he has served as Vice President and General Counsel for a Fortune 500 company where he was responsible for all of the legal affairs of the company, including labor arbitrations and negotiations. Milton has also served as in-house counsel for several educational institutions, which involved handling a multitude of collective bargaining units and union contracts.
Milton is not licensed to practice law in Georgia, but is admitted to practice law in Wisconsin and Michigan. He has held several faculty appointments in the areas of labor law and human resources. While in law school, Milton earned a Law Equality and Policy (LEAP) Fellowship and prior to law school worked as a White House Summer Intern.
