ABOUT THE PROGRAMEmployment and Restrictive Covenant Agreements in Florida
Ed Carlstedt will discuss drafting considerations for employment and restrictive covenant agreements as well as the enforceability of various types of employer friendly clauses and restrictive covenants under Florida law. Participants will also be provided with employment agreement and restrictive covenant drafting tips to protect critical business assets such as proprietary information, trade secrets, and customer relationships.

Federal and Florida Whistleblower and Retaliation Statutes
Retaliation claims often survive summary judgment. Lavern Wilson will provide an overview of the various whistleblower and retaliation statutes to help attendees understand the risks associated these claims. The discussion will also include a review of the United States Supreme Court's recent decision that the "but-for" causation standard applies to Title VII retaliation cases, and a survey of jury verdicts in whistleblower and retaliation claims.
