Frank Day contributed the article, "Are You Prepared for a Union Campaign? The Mid-South Has Seen a Recent Uptick in Union Activity," to the October 2017 issue of HR Professionals Magazine.
His article covers the increase in number of petitions filed for union representation in the Mid-South, in particular the Nissan election in Canton, Mississippi.
On what employers should do now Frank said, "At the very least, employers should ensure that their managers have received training that will enable them to recognize union activity. Also, employers should have a plan of action in place that can be followed in the event that a petition is filed."
