About the Program
On December 19, 2009, Congress passed a COBRA Subsidy Extension as part of the Department of Defense Appropriations Act. Updated regulations are expected to be issued by the Department of Labor and the Internal Revenue Service, but plan administrators are expected to comply with key elements of the extension immediately.
