Ford & Harrison Adds Three Partners; Expanding Memphis, Tampa and Minneapolis Offices

Atlanta – Ford & Harrison LLP, a national labor and employment law firm, is pleased to announce the addition of three partners. Robert D. Meyers joins the Memphis office, Shane T. Muñoz joins the Tampa office and Alec J. Beck joins the Minneapolis office.

Robert Meyers joins the firm from Kiesewetter Wise Kaplan Prather, PLC where he practiced for more than 13 years. He focuses his practice on the representation of employers in employment matters and has significant employment litigation experience. He has defended companies before courts in Tennessee, Mississippi, Arkansas, Alabama, Texas, Georgia, Louisiana, Indiana, and Virginia. He has been instrumental in assisting clients in dealing with employee medical issues including ADA, FMLA and workers' compensation concerns. He also has extensive experience representing public employers in claims brought under Title VII, § 1981 and § 1983. Meyers received his J.D. from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville College of Law in 1986.

Previously, Shane Muñoz was of counsel in the labor and employment practice of Greenberg Traurig, LLP in Tampa. Muñoz has an active civil trial and client counseling practice in labor and employment law. Throughout his 20-year career, he has successfully represented business organizations in a wide range of labor and employment matters, including employment discrimination, whistleblower, harassment, restrictive covenants, wage and hour, and other complex litigation. In addition, he is frequently retained to represent clients in federal, state and local investigations. He also has wide-ranging experience in representing clients in internal investigations involving alleged harassment, disparate treatment and other employee misconduct. He also has substantial experience in helping clients develop and implement employment policies and procedures designed to foster positive employee relations and to minimize legal risks. Muñoz received his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 1989.

Alec Beck previously served as a partner at Seaton, Beck & Peters, P.A. He has more than a decade of experience advising and representing employers, and regularly represents employers in proceedings before state and federal courts, the National Labor Relations Board, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Minnesota Department of Human Rights, as well as various other agencies.

Beck has practiced exclusively in the areas of labor relations, employment law, and workers' compensation. He provides ongoing counsel and training for employers regarding human resource management, employee relations strategies, and the avoidance of employment-related disputes and liability. Beck received his J.D. from the William Mitchell College of Law in 1989.
