Ford & Harrison Attorney John F. Allgood Elected to the Board of Directors for the Atlanta Bar Association's Dispute Resolution Section

Ford & Harrison LLP, a national labor and employment law firm, is pleased to announce that John F. Allgood, an Atlanta-based attorney, has recently been elected to the Board of Directors of the Atlanta Bar Association's Dispute Resolution Section. 

As a member of the Board, Allgood will be responsible for encouraging the participation of members of the Atlanta Bar Association in the activities of the organization including service to alternative dispute resolution and service to the public; communicating the official position of the section; and coordinating the efforts of the younger members of the Atlanta Bar Association in promoting the welfare of the Atlanta community. 

"I am honored to be elected as a Board member for the Atlanta Bar Association, Dispute Resolution Section," Allgood commented.  "I look forward to serving in this capacity over the next year."

Allgood has served for more than 20 years as an independent neutral arbitrating cases in commercial, employment, construction and securities law areas. He was a member of the panel of arbitrators, USOC, during the 1996 and 1998 Olympic Games. His practice also includes mediation in the above practice areas as well as real estate and anti-trust matters. Allgood received his J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law in 1973.

The Atlanta Bar Association is the largest voluntary bar association in the southeast with a membership of more than 6,300 from the 12 counties of metro Atlanta: (Cherokee, Clayton, Cobb, Coweta, DeKalb, Douglas, Fayette, Fulton, Gwinnett, Henry, Paulding and Rockdale).  Formed in 1994 -1995 by William H. Schroder, Jr., the Dispute Resolution Section provides various programs and benefits for its members.
