Ford & Harrison Partner Matthew J. Rita Named to the 2011 List of "Colorado Super Lawyers"

Date   Mar 9, 2011
Ford & Harrison LLP, a national labor and employment law firm, is pleased to announce that Denver-based partner Matthew J. Rita has been named to Law & Politics' 2011 list of "Colorado Super Lawyers."

Rita's practice encompasses complex litigation at both the trial and appellate levels, with substantial experience in the employment law arena. The matters he has handled have involved a broad range of issues, such as Sarbanes-Oxley whistleblower complaints, charges of age discrimination, harassment allegations, trade secret disputes, qui tam litigation and contract cases. Rita has represented numerous clients before federal and state courts and agencies, as well as in arbitration and other alternative dispute resolution proceedings. His courtroom victories have included a multi-million-dollar jury verdict on a breach-of-contract counterclaim, and the successful defense of a high-profile lawsuit under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Rita received his J.D., cum laude, from Cornell Law School in 1992.

Attorneys are selected for this honor through a statewide nomination process, peer review by practice area and independent research on candidates.  The rigorous process is designed to identify lawyers who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.  Only five percent of attorneys in the state of Colorado are selected for inclusion in "Super Lawyers."
