Ford & Harrison LLP, a national labor and employment law firm, is pleased to announce that Tracey K. Jaensch and Kay L. Wolf, partners in the firm's Tampa and Orlando offices respectfully, were honored as two of Florida's "Most Powerful Women." They were recognized by the National Diversity Council at the 2nd Annual Florida Diversity & Leadership Conference recently held in Orlando.
The conference was hosted by Dennis Kennedy, Founder and CEO of the National Diversity Council. It featured keynote speakers Donna Brazile, Democratic political strategist and frequent contributor to CNN, NPR and ABC; and John Rowland, three-term governor of the state of Connecticut.
"To be selected as one of Florida's 'Most Powerful Women' is a tremendous honor," said Tom Garwood, Ford & Harrison's deputy managing partner. "We're very proud of their efforts and accomplishments and applaud their strong commitment to diversity."
Jaensch is the Managing Partner of the firm's Tampa Office. She serves as chairman of the board of the Florida Diversity Council.and also serves on the firm's Health Care Practice Group Committee. She is Board Certified as an Expert in Labor and Employment by The Florida Bar.
Jaensch focuses her practice on defending employers in discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination and contract dispute litigation. She represents companies in a variety of industries, including health care, corrections, banking, hospitality and retail. She received her J.D. from Stetson University College of Law in 1991.
Wolf, Board-certified by the Florida Bar as a Specialist in Labor and Employment Law, has practiced in the area since 1976. Her practice is devoted to providing management with the necessary tools to meet the challenges in today's employment arena, through proactive legal advice, training, and litigating complex cases in both trial and appellate courts. Kay is a certified mediator in Florida's circuit courts and in the U.S. Middle District of Florida. She also serves as an arbitrator.
Wolf is a member of the firm's Executive Committee and she has responsibility for the Firm's Partner Professional Development Initiative. She is the immediate past Chair of the Center for Women's Philanthropy Advisory Board, and a member of the 100 Women Strong giving circle. In addition, Kay has served on the Board of Directors of the Central Florida Boys and Girls Clubs for 25 years and is a past Chair. She also sings in her church choir, with whom she has sung at St. Paul's Cathedral in London, the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C., and cathedrals and churches in the Pacific Northwest, Canada, and Savannah. She received her J.D. from University of Louisville School of Law in 1975.
