FordHarrison LLP announces the addition of Brian Spring as an Associate in the firm's Atlanta office.
Brian Spring advises employers in employee benefit and tax related matters including drafting employee pension and health and welfare benefit plan documents, summary plan descriptions, participant communications and plan policies and procedures. Brian also counsels clients with defined contribution, defined benefit plans and health and welfare plans for compliance with ERISA, the Affordable Care Act, HIPAA and COBRA.
Before joining FordHarrison, Brian was a tax attorney at a large multinational accounting services firm. In this role he reviewed employee benefit plans for compliance with the Internal Revenue Code and the Department of Labor's laws and regulations and advised employers on all aspects of qualified retirement plans, including Employee Plans Compliance Resolution System corrections, Voluntary Correction Program filings and self-correction procedures.
