FordHarrison Welcomes Katherine Parvis as Associate to Expanding Atlanta Office

FordHarrison LLP announces the addition of Katherine (Katie) Parvis as an associate in the firm's Atlanta, GA office. 

Katie focuses her practice on the representation of management in labor and employment law matters in federal and state courts, as well as before state and local agencies. She also drafts and reviews employment policies, employment contracts and employee handbooks. 

Before she joined FordHarrison, Katie served as Assistant Attorney General for the State of Georgia.  In this role, she filed drafted numerous briefs on behalf of the State to the Georgia Supreme Court. She also drafted hundreds of pleadings in both state and federal courts and handled dozens of evidentiary hearings, motion hearings and depositions. While in this role, Katie successfully argued a direct appeal from a conviction to the Georgia Supreme Court.

Earlier in her career, Katie served as a judicial clerk with the South Georgia Judicial Circuit and as an extern/summer associate with a nonprofit organization.
