Julianne Pinter has over 40 civil jury trials under her belt, as well as hundreds of mediation/arbitrations, and over a thousand depositions.

Her trial experience began as a fraud specialist for a multi-billion dollar client and continued when she transferred to a boutique firm in San Francisco specializing in fraud. Julianne's practice expanded when she founded her own small firm in San Francisco specializing in both litigation and transactional matters.

Julianne's litigation practice includes business disputes, employment claims, intellectual property issues, anti-trust class actions, insurance defense, legal malpractice, and property disputes. Her clients range from high tech emerging growth companies, multi-billion dollar enterprises, venture capitalists, private investors, manufacturers, retailers, franchise owners and small business owners.

Julianne's former position as in-house Manager for the Legal and Business Affairs Department of Peer Music, Inc. in Los Angeles, California, provides her with first-hand insight into the needs and perspectives of law firm clients.

Julianne has also been a founder of numerous start-ups in technology, entertainment and retail manufacturing. She has advised dozens of entrepreneurs and founders on business strategy. Julianne comes from a long line of entrepreneurs with dozens of patents and copyrights within her family. Thus, advising business owners and officers is in her blood!

Julianne serves on the Board of a nonprofit organization that prevents, rescues and restores children from human trafficking. She has also represented several nationally recognized non-profits who were sued for frivolous employment claims, as well as small non-profits subjected to vicious media attacks from opposing counsel throughout the litigation.

At each step in her career, Julianne has honed her own skills in law practice management and associate training. Throughout her career she has been the leader of associate and legal staff training for major law firms professional development programs, involving litigation and trial skills, as well as creating training materials, and developing systems for efficient and effective case management from start to finish.

Representative Experience
  • Obtained unanimous defense verdict in federal court on behalf a large multinational medical technology company in a case involving allegations of sexual harassment, discrimination and retaliation.
  • Obtained unanimous defense verdict in federal court on behalf of a large multinational banking and finance institution in a case alleging off the clock work, failure to provide meal and rest breaks, failure to provide adequate pay stubs, and conversion.
  • Obtained defense verdicts on all labor arbitrations for largest healthcare company in the United States.
  • Obtained unanimous defense verdict at arbitration on behalf a higher education institution in a case involving allegations of fraud & deceit, defamation, intentional misrepresentation, and copyright Infringement. Plaintiff was ordered to pay nearly $100,000 in attorney's fees and costs.
  • Obtained defense verdict on behalf of a plastics recycling manufacturer on all counts in a case involving claims for disability discrimination, failure to prevent discrimination, failure to accommodate and failure to engage in the interactive process.
  • Obtained a defense verdict in a three week trial in Los Angeles County against a plaintiff in a wheelchair who claimed disability discrimination against two franchisees of a nationally recognized restaurant chain. $8 million requested from jury.
  • Obtained a defense verdict at arbitration on behalf of a franchisee of a nationally recognized restaurant chair for misclassification, overtime, and missed meal and rest breaks.
  • Obtained a nominal verdict (less than offered in a 998 offer) in an 8 week trial involving wrongful discharge, breach of contract, failure to pay expenses owed, incorrect paystubs, and fraud claims from a franchisor’s employee who was discharged for performance reasons. $ 6 million requested from jury.
  • Obtained a decision in a week long trial in favor of an investor regarding rescission of stock due to fraud involving the legitimacy of patents involved in the investment. Also obtained a monetary judgement in favor of the investor’s company.
  • Multiple multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements (fraud, indemnity, and sexual harassment) in favor of Plaintiff’s whom she represented prior to joining the firm.
