About the Program
Employers who rely upon information contained in consumer reports to make employment decisions - including hiring, retention, promotion or reassignment - must comply with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). The FCRA has a number of provisions that must be strictly adhered to or the employer can face a host of violations. FCRA class actions are on the rise. Learn about compliance with the FCRA, as well as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission's guidance on use of background checks related to criminal activity - including arrest and conviction records.
