Michelle Abidoye Selected to Profiles in Diversity Journal's 2017 Women Worth Watching List

FordHarrison LLP, one of the country’s largest management-side labor and employment law firms, is pleased to announce that Michelle B. Abidoye, Partner in the firm’s Los Angeles office, was featured in the 2017 Women Worth Watching Issue of Profiles in Diversity Journal. The prestigious award is in its 16th year, and is featured in the publication’s summer issue.

Nominated by their employers for their passion, their potential, and their positive influence both inside and outside the workplace, the winners represent corporations, government agencies, and nonprofits from across North America and Europe. Their first-person accounts of lessons learned during their careers—featured in the magazine's print and online editions—are insightful and thought provoking. The women highlighted in this issue are as diverse as the industries and locations they work in, and the impacts they have had on their workplaces and their world.

“I am excited to have been chosen for inclusions in this year’s Women Worth Watching,” said Michelle. “Being recognized among these accomplished women is an honor.”

Michelle concentrates her practice on defending and counseling employers on all aspects of labor and employment law. She represents clients in a variety of industries, but has particular expertise in the aviation industry. She was honored with the FordHarrison Promise Award given for excellence in client service. Michelle also serves as the liaison for the FordHarrison School in Cambodia.

Michelle's employment litigation experience includes defending against class action and individual claims for wage and hour violations, wrongful termination, retaliation, harassment, and discrimination. Her labor experience includes representing clients in grievance resolution and arbitrations. Michelle frequently lectures on California and federal employment laws and is a regular presenter at the Regional Airline Association Summer Seminar. Michelle serves on the Executive Committee for both the Women Lawyers of Los Angeles and the Trial Practice Inn of Court, Los Angeles Chapter.
