Tampa Attorney Shane Muñoz Named Chair of the Labor & Employment Section of The Florida Bar

FordHarrison LLP is pleased to announce that Shane Muñoz, a Partner in the firm's Tampa office, has been elected as Chair of the Labor & Employment Section of The Florida Bar.  Shane has previously held positions in the Labor & Employment Section as Chair-elect, Secretary/Treasurer, CLE Director, and Co-chair of the Publications Subcommittee.

The mission of the Labor and Employment Law Section is to serve and support its members through opportunities for education, leadership, networking, and public service, and by providing quality programs, publications, scholarships and awards relating to the field of labor and employment law. The Section actively sponsors the continuing education of the members of The Florida Bar in the field of labor and employment law. The Section encourages its members, through participation in the section and its activities, to enhance their practice and professionalism, and to improve service to their clients.

Shane Muñoz is Board Certified in Florida as an expert in labor and employment law, and is a Fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers.  He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America – Labor and Employment Law, and is AV® Preeminent Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell.  He has an active civil trial and client counseling practice in labor and employment law. Throughout his 25-year career, Shane has successfully represented business organizations in a wide range of labor and employment matters, including wage and hour, employment discrimination, whistleblower, harassment, restrictive covenants, wage and hour, and other complex litigation including FLSA and ADEA collective actions. In addition, he is frequently retained to represent clients in federal, state and local investigations. Shane also has wide-ranging experience in representing clients in internal investigations involving alleged harassment, disparate treatment and other employee misconduct. He has substantial experience in helping clients develop and implement employment policies and procedures designed to foster positive employee relations and to minimize legal risks.
