About the Program
In May 2016, the Defend Trade Secrets Act (“DTSA”) was signed into law. Did you know that FordHarrison successfully litigated one of the very first cases under the DTSA in the U.S.? Now, a little more than one year later, join Mark Saloman and Jeff Mokotoff, FordHarrison partners and co-chairs of the firm’s Non-Compete, Trade Secrets & Business Litigation Group, for a webinar on navigating the DTSA and how it has become the weapon of choice for companies interested in protecting their confidential and trade-secret information in federal courts. While most states have their own statutes that protect trade secrets, the DTSA allows for greater uniformity and potentially powerful remedies for its violation. This webinar will provide litigation strategies, tips on how to draft restrictive covenant agreements to ensure protection of trade secrets under the DTSA, and an overview of the cases decided under the DTSA since its enactment. Mark and Jeff will discuss best practices for using the DTSA and whether and how to include the DTSA in your restrictive covenant agreements.
