About the Program
Join FordHarrison attorneys Ed Carlstedt and Denise Wheeler as they discuss the EEOC's 2015 Strategic Initiatives.  They will address the EEOC's six strategic initiatives for 2015 and discuss how to avoid being the target of either an employee complaint that results in an investigation or an independent EEOC investigation.  Some of the topics that will be addressed include: whether you should be asking applicants about criminal convictions, how to handle background and credit checks in light of recent litigation, wellness programs, pregnancy related limitations under the ADA and the PDA, LGBT rights, religious accommodations, arbitration agreements, release agreements, EEOC's conciliation obligations, and equal pay laws. Ed and Denise will encourage open dialogue regarding the emergence of these issues in real life scenarios.

After the program, join FordHarrison attorneys and the Association of Corporate Counsel West Central Florida Chapter for a reception of light hors d'oeuvres and cocktails.
