Bilal Haider represents and counsels management clients in a broad range of employment law issues.
Bilal is a former in-house lawyer for the New York City Law Department where he served as Litigating Senior Counsel in the Labor & Employment Law Division. He understands first-hand the many challenges employers face in managing today's workforce. His experience includes handling putative class actions challenging the COVID-19 vaccination mandate, claims of retaliation under the First Amendment, discrimination claims, and denial of reasonable accommodation requests.
Bilal is comfortable overseeing all aspects of individual plaintiff lawsuits, including client interviews, e-discovery, deposition questioning and defense, preparation of dispositive motions, trial preparation, settlement negotiations, and attendance at court conferences.
Earlier in his career, Bilal served as the Assistant District Attorney in the Bronx County District Attorney's Office, handling all stages of prosecutions from arrest to verdict. While in law school, he was awarded the Judge Doris A. Thompson and Judge Edward Thompson Award For Excellence in Trial Advocacy.
