Gary Lieber has more than 30 years of experience as a labor and employment attorney.
He concentrates his practice in labor-management relations and defense of employment discrimination cases on behalf of management. Gary has litigated numerous labor and employment cases before administrative agencies and in Federal and State courts.
Gary is a successful trial attorney having litigated a broad range of labor and employment law matters including jury trials in employment discrimination cases, unfair labor practices before the NLRB and well over 100 labor arbitration cases. Gary has also negotiated collective bargaining agreements in a wide range of industries, including construction, manufacturing, higher education and the service sector.
Gary serves as National Labor Counsel to the National Electrical Contractors Association and is co-counsel to the Council on Industrial Relations for the Electrical Contracting Industry, the industry's arbitration body.
In addition to his busy practice, Gary is frequently tapped to speak about labor and employment matters before trade associations and other industry groups.Gary is also a mediator in the District of Columbia Superior Court Multi-Door Dispute Resolution Program and was selected by the Court as the principal mediator for a mediation training video produced by the program. He was recently selected as a member on a five member working group of mediators within the Superior Court to improve the mediation process in that Court. He has also been certified as a Mediator by the Center for Alternative Dispute Resolution.
