Marissa Vitolo concentrates her practice on the representation of management clients facing employment law or labor relations challenges.

Prior to joining FordHarrison, Marissa practiced law in the White Plains office of a large general services law firm where she litigated matters in employment, commercial, municipal, and real estate law. Her employment law experience ranges from arguing motions and discovery disputes to preparing witnesses to provide testimony, however her practice is not limited to employment law. Marissa also has first-hand experience representing clients in arbitrations against unions for grievances and disciplinary matters. 

Earlier in her career, Marissa served as a law clerk to the judges of the State of Connecticut Superior Court. 

Representative Experience
  • Obtained dismissal of an action brought by a union to require school district employer to consider remote work as an accommodation for requests made pursuant to the ADA related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • Provided sexual harassment prevention training to client’s 1,500 employees to bring them into compliance with local and state laws.
  • Defended clients against discrimination charges brought in local, state, and federal agencies, including investigating allegations.
