OUR PEOPLE

Patrick Corley's legal practice is devoted to the representation of management in labor and employment law disputes. 

Patrick handles litigation arising from claims of discrimination under Title VII, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the Fair Labor Standards Act. Patrick also counsels employers regarding implementing effective policies and procedures that comply with the law.

Patrick represents clients in state and federal court and also regularly handles charges of discrimination in administrative agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).

While in law school, Patrick served as a summer associate in FordHarrison's Atlanta office, during which time he gained extensive experience assisting with employment law matters and researching and drafting articles for publication. Earlier in law school, Patrick served as an intern in a corporate counsel law department for a large travel company. Additionally, Patrick served as Managing Editor for the Emory Corporate Governance and Accountability Review and was the recipient of the Wolters Kluwer Publishing Excellence in Taxation Award.  

Representative Experience
  • Represented national retailer in a variety of discrimination and retaliation claims involving former employees alleging violations of the Age Discrimination in Employment Act and Title VII. 
  • Conducted several internal investigations of alleged employment law violations on behalf of clients in the manufacturing industry. 
  • Drafted and revised numerous employee handbooks and employment policies to ensure compliance with new labor and employment laws.
