Ford & Harrison Among Top Firms in The American Lawyer's 2011 Diversity Scorecard

Date   Jun 21, 2011

Ford & Harrison LLP was ranked as one of the top 100 law firms in The American Lawyer's 2011 Diversity Scorecard, the publication's annual ranking of firms according to the proportion of minority representation within their respective partnerships and overall lawyer populations.

"Ford & Harrison's ranking in this year's scorecard demonstrates the fact that our ongoing efforts, through our diversity and inclusion programs, are being noticed," said Dawn Siler-Nixon, Ford & Harrison's Diversity and Inclusion Partner.  "The numbers reflected in the results, both for Ford & Harrison and law firms in general, are very encouraging."

AmLaw compiles the Diversity Scorecard by surveying firms in The AmLaw 200 and The NLJ 250.  Using 2010 fiscal year information supplied by the 194 firms that participated, the magazine determined the "diversity score" for each firm, defined as the "minority percentage of all U.S. attorneys + minority percentage of all U.S. partners," then ranked the firms by their scores.
