Ford & Harrison Attorney Zascha Blanco Abbott Elected to the Dade County Bar Association Board of Directors

Ford & Harrison LLP, a national labor and employment law firm, is pleased to announce that Zascha Blanco Abbott, a Miami-based attorney, has recently been elected to the Dade County Bar Association (DCBA) Board of Directors.  Abbott will hold the position for three years, serving from 2011 to 2014. 

As a member of the Board, Abbott will be responsible for promoting the mission of the DCBA by supporting the administration of justice, enhancing attorney professionalism, and cultivating positive relationships among all members of the Bar.

"I am honored to be elected as a Board member for the Dade County Bar Association," Abbott commented.  "I am truly looking forward to serving in this capacity."

Abbott focuses her practice on the representation of public and private employers in labor and employment disputes. She has represented employers in a variety of employment matters, such as claims of discrimination, hostile work environment, wrongful discharge, constitutional violations, retaliation, and wage cases. Her labor relations experience includes engaging in collective bargaining negotiations and providing employers with guidance on labor issues. She also provides proactive employment advice to clients including policy development and employee handbook reviews. Abbott received her J.D., magna cum laude from Nova Southeastern University School of Law in 2001.

The Dade County Bar Association is a local voluntary bar association with approximately 4,500 members. The association was founded in the early 1900's and incorporated as a non-profit organization in 1920.
