About the Program
The Regional Airline Association organizes the Summer Seminars to meet the professional development of member airlines. The event includes three professional streams that provide subject matter expert briefings, peer discussions and valuable networking opportunities that are essential to keep new and veteran management current on the latest legal guidelines and best practices in the areas of Human Resources, Inflight/Cabin Services and Drug & Alcohol Testing programs. Registration for this event is intended for airline inflight, HR, and drug & alcohol representatives and RAA invited guests.
The Growing Opioid Crisis: All companies, including airlines, could be better equipped to handle the challenge of drug abuse in the workplace. Sarah Wimberly will discuss how the opioid crisis is affecting the airline industry and how carriers should respond. Sarah will review several case studies, including describing how these actual cases were handled and the results.
Labor Law in the Trump Era: The Trump Administration has brought significant changes to labor and employment law over the past two years. Jacki Thompson will update attendees on the recent developments affecting regional carriers, as well as what is on the horizon at the U.S. Equal Employment Commission and the Department of Labor.
