X-ALT-DESC;FMTTYPE=text/html:
Recorded: Thursday, October 22, 2020

About the Program
As Election Day, November 3, 2020, approaches, U.S. businesses must keep in mind voting leave laws in their respective states. Voting leave laws allow for accommodations of employees to vote in elections without fear of a reduction in pay or reprisal. Thirty-one of the 50 states and Puerto Rico have voting leave laws and, given the high turnout expected for this election (notwithstanding the prevalence of vote-by-mail), employers need to be aware of those statutes. Other hot topics like political speech in the workplace, anti-coercion laws and how the NLRA affects all of this will also be discussed.

Join FordHarrison attorneys Maria Tavano and Jeff Shooman for a brief overview of what employers need to know about their responsibilities to their employees on Election Day.

Continuing Education

FordHarrison is recognized by SHRM to offer Professional Development Credits (PDCs) for the SHRM-CPSM or SHRM-SCPSM. This course is approved for 1 hour of PDCs.

This program is also pre-approved by HRCI for 1 hour of PHR, GPHR, and SPHR recertification credit.
