Jamin Xu’s law practice is focused on providing counsel and representation to employers in labor and employment law matters.

Jamin has extensive experience litigating a variety of employment-related claims, including wage and hour class actions, representative California Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) actions, and single plaintiff matters dealing with discrimination, retaliation, harassment, and Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA) claims in both state and federal court.

Prior to joining FordHarrison, Jamin was an associate at a Los Angeles-based plaintiff-side employment law firm where he specialized in litigating wage and hour class and representative PAGA actions. While in law school, Jamin completed multiple internships with the California Department of Justice, where he assisted in the defense of state agencies in employment law matters and the prosecution of professional licensing cases against nurses and pharmacists. He also completed a legal internship with the U.S. Department of Labor Solicitor's Office, where he assisted in the prosecution of ERISA, FLSA, OSHA and human trafficking cases.

Jamin has lived and traveled extensively in East Asia and is fluent in Cantonese Chinese and proficient in Mandarin Chinese. His interests include fitness and competitive running as well as international politics.
