Michael concentrates his practice on the representation of management in a broad range of issues related to labor and employment law.

Michael handles litigation arising from numerous claims including employment discrimination under Title VII, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, wrongful termination, wage and hour disputes, and non-competes. Michael also counsels employers regarding implementing effective policies and procedures that comply with the law. Michael represents clients in state and federal court and also regularly handles charges of discrimination in administrative agencies including the Connecticut Commission of Human Rights and Opportunities, Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. He is comfortable handling all phases of litigation up through trial preparation and has consistently litigated employment dismissal hearings to verdict with favorable defense outcomes. He has represented clients in a variety of industries including insurance, municipalities, education, healthcare, hospitality, and retail. 

While earning his J.D., Michael was recognized with CALI awards in International Criminal Law; Criminal Law; Federal Criminal Law; ADR; and Business Litigation. He also was a member of the Moot Court Trial Team competing in the Regional AAJ Moot Court Tournament and was awarded the first "perfect score" (combined direct, cross, and closing) given by the competition judges in ten years. 

Michael dedicates much of his spare time to his passion for fitness and coaching athletes. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach, training and coaching amateur and professional athletes in strength, conditioning, and nutrition. Michael also volunteers his time hosting powerlifting meets for the Special Olympics. 

Prior to law school, Michael served as the New England Vice President of Sales and Management for an international gym chain. He was the youngest Vice President in company history and oversaw fourteen locations throughout New England. Michael also managed hundreds of employees, which allowed him to strengthen his knowledge in labor and employment law.
