"The DOL Proposes Narrowing LMRDA 'Advice' Exemption" Complimentary E-Briefing

Date   Jun 27, 2011
Time   1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. Eastern

About the Program
Did you know that proposed changes to the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act (LMRDA) may place requirements on employers to disclose detailed information regarding relationships with employees and third parties engaged in labor relations activities? The Department of Labor (DOL) has proposed changes to the LMRDA which will force both employers and third parties, such as law firms or labor relations consultants, to provide information regarding the amount paid for services, the services rendered and the specific advice provided. Under the proposed rule, the Department of Labor is looking to redefine the definition of exempted advice, thus broadening the type of information companies are required to disclose.

Make sure your company is prepared for these potential changes. Join Ford & Harrison partner David Prather for a complimentary webinar which will cover:

  • the changes being proposed by the NPRM,
  • when these changes may take effect,
  • how these changes will affect employers, and
  • how to voice opposition to the proposed rule.

This program is pre-approved by HRCI for 1 hour of PHR, GPHR and SPHR recertification credit.
