Immigration in the Time of Coronavirus - FordHarrison Complimentary Webinar

Date   Jul 1, 2020

Recorded: Wednesday, July 1, 2020

About the Program
Since President Trump declared a national emergency on March 13, 2020 due to the rapid spread of Coronavirus in the United States, he has issued a number of unilateral Presidential Proclamations which have significantly restricted the travel and immigration of foreign professionals to the United States. These actions were initially touted as necessary for public health, but now form a key part of the President’s economic recovery plan. These proclamations will make it difficult for American companies employing foreign professionals to operate for months to come. Therefore, it is critical for American businesses to understand the short-term and long-term fall out of these presidential actions, as well as understand what immigration actions the administration has in the pipeline.

Please join FordHarrison’s Business Immigration Practice Group attorneys, Geetha Adinata and Charles Roach as they discuss the latest updates and developments in this dynamic field, including the most recent Presidential Proclamation issued on June 23, 2020. The conversation will include timely and practical guidance regarding the latest immigration limitations that apply to all employers who currently sponsor foreign workers or who are considering immigration sponsorship based on employment.
