Jessica Walberg concentrates her practice on representing employers in a broad range of labor and employment matters, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation and wage and hour claims, as well as preventative risk management.

Jessica’s focus also includes cases involving negligent hiring and supervision, whistleblower disputes, violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, and the Americans with Disabilities Act. Jessica routinely represents management in charges of discrimination before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Florida Commission on Human Relations, and various local agencies.  

Jessica also provides management training and practical advice and counseling on all aspects of the employer-employee relationship.   Jessica represents a variety of private and public sector employers and is passionate about partnering with her clients to learn their business and provide preventative labor and employment defense advice.  

Jessica has substantial experience conducting internal investigations involving alleged harassment, retaliation, and other employee misconduct. Jessica’s work includes developing and implementing employment policies and procedures, offering leave management advice, and providing day-to-day support, guidance, and solutions for executives, human resources, and management.   

During law school, Jessica was a member of the Florida A&M University Law Review and also served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Gregory A. Presnell in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida.

  • Successfully defended large restaurant chain in nationwide collective action under the FLSA.
  • Represented a large regional transportation entity in a unique action for breach of a collective bargaining agreement. Obtained judgment in favor of the company. Judgment was upheld by the U.S. Court of Appeals.
  • Represented a national staffing company in a complex race discrimination hearing.
