On ensuring company policies prohibit discrimination and harassment based on sexual orientation, gender identity and transgender status, Johanna said, “We’re not recommending any policy difference than what most employers already have in place to prohibit discrimination, harassment and retaliation in the workplace; it just needs to state specifically that these particular characteristics are included in that policy."
