About the Program
On September 18, Governor Gavin Newsom signed into law Assembly Bill 5 (AB 5),  which will take effect January 1, 2020. AB 5 mostly codifies the 2018 Dynamex decision, which drastically altered the test used to determine whether a worker can be classified as an independent contractor.  AB5 also created numerous exceptions to the new rule, and your industry or business might be treated differently than your neighbor’s.  What do you need to know before AB 5 takes effect?  Join us on October 14 and find out!
