WASHINGTON, D.C. – Bridnetta D. Edwards, senior counsel with the Washington, DC office of Ford & Harrison LLP, has accepted the management position of Deputy Assistant General Counsel, Professional Staff Group (PSG) IV for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

Edwards has extensive experience in civil litigation, including mediations and settlement negotiations. She has represented clients in federal and state courts and before government agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the U.S. Department of Labor. She has also counseled management on administration and interpretation of the Equal Pay Act, Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Family Medical Leave Act and ADA Amendments Act. Edwards received her J.D. from the Catholic University School of Law in 1989.
