Ford & Harrison Attorney Shane T. Muñoz Elected CLE Director of The Florida Bar's Labor & Employment Section

Ford & Harrison LLP, a national labor and employment law firm, is pleased to announce that Shane T. Muñoz, a Tampa-based attorney, has recently been elected CLE Director of The Florida Bar's Labor & Employment Section. 

As CLE Director, Muñoz will be responsible for coordinating the Labor &Employment Section's seminars and webinars.  He is currently planning four upcoming seminars: the 37th Annual Public Employment Labor Relations Forum (September 23 and 24, 2012); Employment Litigation / Discrimination (October 21, 2011); 12th Annual Labor and Employment Law Certification Review (February 23 & 24, 2012, Orlando); and Advanced Labor Topics, (April 2012, in San Juan, Puerto Rico).  Muñoz is also planning five one-hour webinars to be held over the next year.

"Volunteer of the Year"
Muñoz, who during The Florida Bar's 2010-2011 year served as editor of the Labor & Employment Section's quarterly newsletter, The Checkoff, and as program co-chair of the 11th Annual Labor and Employment Law Certification Review, also recently received recognition as a Labor & Employment Section "Volunteer of the Year."

Muñoz is Board Certified in Florida as an expert in labor and employment law. He has an active civil trial and client counseling practice in labor and employment law. Throughout his 22-year career, Muñoz has successfully represented business organizations in a wide range of labor and employment matters, including employment discrimination, whistleblower, harassment, restrictive covenants, wage and hour, and other complex litigation. In addition, he is frequently retained to represent clients in federal, state and local investigations. Muñoz also has wide-ranging experience in representing clients in internal investigations involving alleged harassment, disparate treatment and other employee misconduct. He has substantial experience in helping clients develop and implement employment policies and procedures designed to foster positive employee relations and to minimize legal risks. Muñoz received his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 1989.
