ATLANTA – Ford & Harrison, one of the nation's largest labor and employment law firms, is pleased to announce that Yoon J. Kim has been voted a 2006 “Georgia Rising Star” in Atlanta Magazine and Georgia Super Lawyers by her peers.

“Rising Stars” are voted on by the most recent group of “Georgia Super Lawyers.” These select lawyers vote on lawyers they have personally observed in action that are either 40 years of age or under or who have been practicing 10 or fewer years. Less than 2.5 percent of Georgia attorneys receive this honor each year.

“Super Lawyers” are chosen based on a general survey to attorneys who have been licensed in the state for five years or more. They are selected for inclusion as a “Super Lawyer” exclusively through peer voting and reflect the top 5 percent of attorneys in the state. The rigorous voting process is designed to identify lawyers who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.

Yoon Kim, an associate with Ford & Harrison, focuses her practice on employment litigation representing management. Her practice encompasses all areas relating to the counseling, training and representation of clients in federal and state courts, as well as before state and local agencies. She also drafts and reviews employment policies, employment contracts, and employee handbooks and advises clients regarding compliance with affirmative action regulations and represents clients before the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs.

Ms. Kim is a member of the State Bar of Georgia. She earned her law degree from the University of North Carolina School of Law (J.D., 1999) and her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina (B.A., 1995).
