Ford & Harrison Blog “That’s What She Said,” Picked as One of the ABA Journal’s Blawg 100

Date   Feb 26, 2008

ATLANTA – “That’s What She Said,” a blog authored by the attorneys at the national labor and employment law firm of Ford & Harrison that discusses the popular T.V. series The Office, was voted the second most popular site in the "Caution: Gossip, Rumor, & Innuendo Ahead," section of the ABA Journal’s Blawg 100. The blog also took 15th place in the voting overall.

“I am very excited to see that we have such a loyal and appreciative group of fans,” said Julie Elgar, an associate with Ford & Harrison and the primary author of posts to the site. “Even in the midst of the writer’s strike, when no new episodes of the show have been airing, we have retained a high volume of visitors by continuing to discuss the host of HR issues provided to us by the folks at Dunder Mifflin’s Scranton branch.”

In a lighthearted and humorous fashion, posts on the site examine the human resources issues associated with the antics of the characters portrayed in NBC’s hit T.V. show, The Office. Elgar views the blog as an excellent way to educate managers, executives and HR professionals about employment law issues in an entertaining fashion.

“Lawyers nationwide are using the power of the Internet to educate the public about developments in the law, market their practices and attract new clients,” says Edward A. Adams, the Journal’s editor and publisher. “Our list of the 100 best lawyer blogs is the cream of the crop from our directory of more than 1,500 blogs in dozens of categories, including blogs focused on almost every state, law school and major federal court in the nation.”

Julie Elgar focuses her practice on employment litigation representing management. Her practice encompasses all areas relating to the counseling, training and representation of management clients in federal and state courts, as well as before state and local agencies. She drafts and reviews employment policies, employment contracts, and employee handbooks and regularly advises clients on ways to ensure compliance with the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986. She received her J.D. cum laude, from the Georgia State University College of Law.
