ATLANTA – Ford & Harrison, a national labor and employment law firm, has been recognized as the top employment law firm in Florida in the 2004 Chambers USA: America's Leading Business Lawyers for the second year in a row. The firm was also ranked in the category “Employment Firms: Mainly Defendant” in Georgia and Tennessee.
In its second annual survey of American law firms, the Chambers profile states that “retaining its position in the highest echelon is this ‘first-class outfit’ which rivals claimed ‘certainly boasts some of the most prestigious clients around.’ ”
In addition to the firm rankings, a number of Ford & Harrison partners were acknowledged for their individual efforts in the field. Atlanta-based managing partner, Lash Harrison, is noted as “a long-standing figure in the market” and Memphis partner, Herb Gerson, is recognized for his “practical approach and experience.”
In Orlando, peers praise Tom Garwood as“arguably the best employment attorney in the state” and laud Jim Brown as “a lawyer’s lawyer.” Tampa-based partner John-Edward Alley is regarded as “a huge name in this field” and “a highly effective labor lawyer.”
The Chambers USA guide is published by London’s respected research organization, Chambers & Partners, and is widely considered a principal guide to American lawyers. Entries are based solely on peer review. Results were compiled by conducting more than 7,000 interviews covering the entire United States by full-time researchers over a period of 8 months.
