NATIONAL – FordHarrison LLP, one of the country’s largest management-side labor and employment law firms, is pleased to announce that Nancy Van der Veer Holt (Washington, D.C.) and Russell W. Jackson (Memphis) have been named to the firm’s Executive Committee, effective January 1, 2026.
The firm’s seven-member Executive Committee is responsible for guiding FordHarrison’s strategic direction, overseeing firm governance, and supporting long-term leadership and growth initiatives. The appointment of two new members reflects the firm’s continued focus on thoughtful succession planning and leadership development aligned with its strategic objectives.

Nancy has been practicing labor and employment law since 2006 and has been an attorney with FordHarrison since 2011, when she joined the firm as a senior associate, becoming a partner in 2018. In conjunction with her appointment to the firm’s Executive Committee, Nancy has also been named the firm’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Partner, and she serves as Chair of the Affirmative Action/OFCCP Compliance Practice Group. Nancy focuses her practice on representing airline clients in labor matters and advising federal contractors and subcontractors on the evaluation, development, and implementation of compliant workplace policies that promote fairness while mitigating legal risk.
As a member of the firm’s Airline Practice Group, Nancy represents air carriers in collective bargaining negotiations under the Railway Labor Act (RLA), as well as in grievance arbitrations and mediations. Her airline experience also includes employment litigation, defense of state and federal agency matters, and AIR21 and FAA whistleblower complaints. Russell has been practicing labor and employment law since 2008 and has been an attorney with FordHarrison since 2016, when he joined the firm as counsel, becoming a partner in 2019. He currently serves as the Managing Partner of FordHarrison’s Memphis office. Russell is a trusted advisor to employers facing the full spectrum of labor and employment challenges, known for a client-focused approach that blends preventive foresight with practical, business-driven solutions.
