Date   Jun 21, 2016
FordHarrison LLP, one of the country's largest management-side labor and employment law firms, is pleased to announce the addition of Allan Bahn as a partner in the firm's New York City office. Allan will co-chair FordHarrison's construction practice group.

"We are glad to have Allan start with our office," said Stephen Zweig, Managing Partner of FordHarrison's New York City office. "Allan brings a wide range of experience dealing with government agencies in the regulatory and investigative milieu particularly in the area of federal and state labor law.  Allan is both an experienced civil and criminal labor litigator and a sophisticated negotiator. He is a well-seasoned attorney whose experience will benefit our clients."

Allan is one of the leading practitioners in the United States in the areas of civil and criminal litigation related to federal and state prevailing wage disputes.  In conjunction with his civil and criminal labor defense practice Allan conducts internal corporate investigations and advises clients in strategies for avoiding government investigations or in the event one has already been initiated, responding to the investigation so as to minimize its impact on the employer.  Finally, Allan has drafted and implemented numerous corporate compliance programs and codes of business conduct which help clients navigate the complexities of today's business ethics environment.

Allan's previous experience includes serving as an Assistant District Attorney in the New County District Attorney's office in the Rackets and Labor Racketeering Bureau where he distinguished himself prosecuting organized crime groups in the construction industry.   Allan later served as Inspector General for the Departments of Design & Construction and Transportation in the New York City Department of Investigation (DOI). While at DOI he led numerous investigations into municipal and contractor fraud and corruption. Subsequently recruited by the Mayor's office, Allan served as Deputy Commissioner for Facilities and Construction and Special Counsel in the Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS). After completing his assignment with DCAS, Allan served as Deputy Inspector General, Chief of Investigations and General Counsel at the New York State Metropolitan Transportation Authority's Inspector General's Office, the largest regional transportation authority in the country. Allan has been a consultant on such notable projects as the AOL / Time Warner Center project, Museum Tower / Museum of Modern Art Reconstruction, and the YMCA Vornado Development on 63rd Street in Manhattan.

Prior to joining FordHarrison, Allan served as managing partner at BahnMulter LLP in New York City, a law firm which he co-founded, practicing in the areas of corporations, contracts, civil and white collar criminal litigation, governmental regulation, prevailing wage/Davis-Bacon enforcement and construction law.
