FordHarrison Grows Birmingham Office, Adds Wesley Redmond as Partner

Date   Feb 2, 2016
FordHarrison LLP, one of the country's largest management-side labor and employment law firms, is pleased to announce that Wesley C. Redmond, has joined the firm's Birmingham office as Partner. Prior to joining FordHarrison, Wesley worked in the Birmingham office of Baker Donelson.

"We are excited to have Wesley join our firm," said John Monroe, Office Managing Partner of the Atlanta office. "He brings with him invaluable experience in addressing all aspects of the employer-employee relationship."

Wesley has more than 25 years of experience as a labor and employment attorney. His early legal experience includes a law school clerkship that exposed him to an employment discrimination case before the United States Supreme Court, and, in a separate matter, what was the largest employment discrimination class action ever filed at that time. Since then, Wesley has regularly represented clients in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies. His experience covers the spectrum of employment suits, from defending employers against allegations of discrimination, sexual and racial harassment, wrongful discharge and violations of wage and hour laws, to handling cases under the ADA, ERISA, FMLA and various retaliatory discharge statutes. He also represents employers in matters involving covenants not to compete, trade secrets and employment contracts. Recently, he has been involved in various class and collective actions alleging wage and hour and other violations.

"I am eager to start my position at FordHarrison. The firm's reputation as well as extensive resources will enhance my ability to serve clients," said Wesley.
