Date   Aug 20, 2021

ATLANTA – FordHarrison LLP, one of the country’s largest management-side labor and employment law firms, is pleased to announce that the firm has been awarded ISO 27001 certification by Schellman & Company, LLC.  FordHarrison is one of a limited number of law firms to achieve this highly recognized certification for information security management.

“Protecting our clients’ and our firm’s data has always been a high priority, but attaining the ISO 27001 certification demonstrates our true commitment,” said Al McKenna, FordHarrison Managing Partner. “The ISO 27001 Certification - the highest level of security-related certification a law firm can achieve - means that we have met and/or surpassed extremely high standards for data security.”

The certification demonstrates the firm’s compliance with rigorous international standards and best practices, and its comprehensive approach to protecting client and firm data. The certification was achieved through a rigorous 24-month process by partnering with ACTIVECYBER, LLC and adopting their ACTIVEFramework. The process involved contributions from attorneys and staff across all departments and ranks which resulted in achieving certification from Schellman.

“We’re pleased to achieve the ISO 27001 certification, which demonstrates our ongoing commitment to the highest standards of information security,” said Scott Shaw, FordHarrison Chief Technology Officer. “It is vital that we protect the data of the firm, as well as the data within our entire supply-chain.”
