FordHarrison's Memphis Office Adds New Associate

FordHarrison LLP, one of the country's largest management-side labor and employment law firms, is pleased to announce that LaTanyia S. Walker, has joined the firm's Memphis office as an Associate.

"We are very excited to have LaTanyia join our firm," said Louis Britt, Office Managing Partner of the Memphis office. "We are certain she will help us deliver the high quality service and work product our clients have come to expect from us."

Prior to joining FordHarrison, LaTanyia served as a Law Clerk for the Shelby County Government Attorney's Office.  In this position, she drafted various legal documents and participated in union negotiations.  As a Law Clerk for the Thirtieth Judicial District at Memphis Circuit Court Division V, she made recommendations on motions and ensured compliance with procedural rules and regulations.  LaTanyia also interned in the Legal Departments of two large, national non-profit organizations, where she gained experience handling a variety of labor and employment matters.

During law school, she served as the Notes Editor for the University of Memphis Law Review.  She also received the Tennessee Supreme Court's Law Student for Justice Award, the Dean's Pro Bono Award, and was active in many student organizations including serving as the Director of Membership for the Southern Region Black Law Students Association.  She is also a graduate of the Tennessee Bar Association's Diversity Leadership Institute. Currently, LaTanyia is the Corresponding Secretary of the Ben F. Jones Chapter of the National Bar Association.
