FordHarrison LLP, one of the country's largest management-side labor and employment law firms, is pleased to announce that Heather A. Carey has joined the firm as an Associate in the Orlando office.
"The Orlando office continues to attract high-quality talent and we are excited to add Heather to our list of standout lawyers," said Aaron Zandy, Managing Partner of FordHarrison's Orlando office. "We are certain she will help deliver the high quality service and work product our clients have come to expect from us."
Heather focuses her practice on advising and counseling clients in disputes related to labor and employment law. Prior to joining FordHarrison, Heather spent nearly two years writing appellate briefs and responding to petitions for writs of certiorari as a law clerk. She also served as a judicial extern in the Florida Fifth District Court of Appeals for the Honorable C. Alan Lawson.
During law school, Heather served as a Senior Editor of the Barry Law Review, a research assistant, and competed on the school's trial team for the 2013 Chester Bedell Florida Bar Competition. She was also a student member of the George C. Young First Central Florida American Inn of Court and the J. Reuben Clark Law Society.
Prior to law school, Heather served as an IT Sourcing Specialist for a large home improvement supply company where she negotiated and drafted hundreds of agreements, including non-disclosure agreements, master services agreements, master license agreements, and statements of work, among others.
About joining the firm, Heather said, "FordHarrison provides an innovative and energetic working environment, both for its attorneys and for its clients. I could not ask for a better place to develop and grow my practice."
